The masks are designed and crafted the Kaarem way, with keen attention to construction, sustainability (remnant fabric is used) and handcrafted quality. Here are some key features:

- For the silk face masks, we cut by hand and carefully hand-basted a middle layer of organic cotton in between the outer and lining layers. The 4th layer is an optional filter insert. (Pictured image showing the filter is from the Clay Pink Silk color for reference)
- The has a small dart on both sides of the nose for a closer fit to the face. It is designed to fit high on the nose, and to fit underneath the chin.
- We made our own ear loops out of 4-way stretch jersey that was sewn inside out so that the softer fabric touches the skin.

These are non-medical, reusable masks. It is NOT meant to be a substitute for medical-grade equipment or FDA approved.
